What's your background?
I have both a B.S. and Master of Fine Arts degree in interior design. My undergraduate years were spent at Illinois State University (go birds!), and then I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my MFA at Florida State University (#unconquered). I knew I wanted to go into interior design when I got my first AG mini's (American Girl) set at age 7. Since then, I haven't looked back and continue to grow and expand my horizons in all areas of design!
Why a Blog?
As mentioned above, I'm always looking for ways to explore new ideas & expand my creative juices. My life throughout undergrad and my MFA could be summed up in one word- hectic with constant projects and deadlines (oh the things we do for love). Throughout the busyness of school life, I would often "daydream" about starting an interiors and lifestyle blog, but it was never the right time. Now, with school behind me and thoughts to share, I'm jumping in head first! I couldn't be more excited and giddy!!
What's the Meaning behind the Name?
It's funny how little moments in life end up turning into larger moments years later. When I moved to Tallahassee, to begin my MFA program, the first piece of furniture bought was my loveseat sofa. We stumbled upon it at a furniture consignment store, sat in it, fell in love, and negotiated a deal (thanks, Seth). During my two years in Florida, my little loveseat sofa always provided a place to land after a crazy day and reminded me of the adventure my family and Seth went on to find my adorable first piece of furniture. Just as it started that journey by my side, my loveseat sofa will continue to go with me on this new adventure.
