I started ‘My Loveseat Sofa’ as a place where I can openly share my thoughts on design, life, and style with you all. To keep with this theme, and hopefully provide encouraging posts, I’ve decided to start discussing my new fitness journey. When I entered my 25th year, I knew I needed/wanted to improve my physical health. Especially when my thesis topic was about the ill-effects of a sedentary lifestyle! Well, I’ve probably been sedentary since high school *insert embarrassed emoji here* and now it’s time to start practicing what I preached/ researched for two years!
To begin my workouts, I decided to go ahead and purchase the ‘Sweat’ app by Kayla Itsines, the creator of BBG. If you’re unfamiliar with Kayla and BBG you need to hop over to her inspiring instagram. I’ve never seen so many strong women of all ages and such inspirational posts! I dabbled with her program while in grad school for about 3 weeks *insert embarrassed emoji again*, but as my grad program became too time consuming I lost a schedule. Now that a new phase of life has begun, it’s the perfect time to begin down this journey. I’m excited to see where I’m at after the 12 weeks are up! Before I began, I took my “before” photos (probably the scariest part), established a time to work out, and picked out my cute workout gear (always makes the workout a little more fun)! I’m beginning my first full week and plan to write continuous posts to help hold me accountable, something I desperately need when it comes to physical activity.
To help with your workout game, here’s some gear sure to inspire!
So with all that being said, I’d love to know your thoughts on this type of post. Have you ever tried BBG? Need encouragement to keep up on your workout schedule? Share in the comments below!
